After having a child in a NICU, I was curious about this book. You always wonder what goes on when you are not there. Once I started reading, I could not put the book down. The book goes beyond the "baby lost" and intertwines several characters all relatable in some way - bound by the sorrows and emotions centered by taking care of these delicate newborns. At times there was so much going on in the story, I needed to keep reading to sort it all out. The book just scratched the surface on the depth of the characters and could have easily been turned into a longer novel....but gives you just enough to care about what happens and grieve for all who have been "lost".
I liked the book and could really get into the characters. The only thing I wish was that it might have been longer as the book is a quick read. My wife is now reading it and she is also enjoying it. A good book to pass the afternoons with for a couple of days.
TOO SHORT WOULD HAVE LIKED MORE
I have been a NICU nurse for 43 years and this book truly hits the nail on the head in portraying the joys and heartaches found in the NICU.
